Before any liquid culture is used to grow mushrooms or fill syringes, we perform a strict agar plate test to confirm purity and viability.
Here’s how it works:
- Sample Taken – A small amount of the liquid culture is drawn under sterile conditions.
- Streaked on Agar – This sample is spread onto a nutrient agar plate.
- Incubation & Inspection – The plate is incubated for 5–7 days and examined for:
- Mycelial Growth: Healthy, uniform mushroom mycelium (white, rhizomorphic).
