About Us
MycoMountain – Grown on a Connecticut Ridge Since 2025
We’re Larry and Jennifer—a husband-and-wife team who’ve been chasing mushrooms through forests and growing them in our home since 1997. What began as a personal quest for healing has become a small, obsessive, organic mycology operation perched on the edge of a state forest in the hills of Connecticut.
It Started with a Broken Rib
In the early 2000s, Larry cracked several ribs in an accident. The nerve pain that followed was relentless—until he stumbled across research on Lion’s Mane and its potential to ease neuropathy. We ordered spores, built a fruiting chamber, and started eating our own harvest. The relief was real. Word spread. Friends asked for mushrooms. Family requested tinctures. By January 2025 we said, “Let’s do this right.” MycoMountain was born.

Mountains Are Our Laboratory
Every summer we disappear for a week at a time—two backpacks, dehydrated meals, and a map. We hike ridgelines, flip logs, and taste the forest (responsibly). Those wild forays inform every strain we cultivate. If it doesn’t thrill us on the trail, it doesn’t leave our lab.
Organic Is Non-Negotiable
We eat what we grow, so we grow it clean. 100 % organic substrates, spring water, zero synthetic anything. The same care we give our own bodies goes into every block of sawdust and grain.
From Our Slope to Your Table
Whether you’re chasing clarity with Lion’s Mane, stamina with Cordyceps, or just curious about the fungal kingdom, we’re here to share what the mountain teaches us—one pure, potent harvest at a time.
Let’s grow together. Larry & Jennifer MycoMountain – Connecticut
